Lakeside Manual Physical Therapy provides a number of classes designed to improve overall heath and well being. The following are classes that are being offered at this time.
Pilates was developed in the 1920s as a source of rehabilitation for injured soldiers. Today, the Pilates craze has spread throughout the United States. The Pilates program includes proper breathing techniques, flexibility, core control, and extremity strengthening. Intermediate classes will be forming at a later date. Please call for class times.
Yoga is traditionally a static exercise in which on position is held and then transitioned into another. The Yoga program includes proper breathing techniques, flexibility, and balance.
Gentle YogaFit is for individuals who prefer to exercise while seated or using gentle YogaFit movements with regular positions. Gentle Yoga has a place fro everyone regardless of age, mobility, or previous exercise history.
Aquatics is designed to improve your spinal stabilization, strength, endurance, flexibility and balance. The cost is $15.00 per class. Lockers and changing facilities are provided.
Belly dancing is a unique and fun exercise for mobilizing the lumbar and thoracic vertebrae and toning the abdominal region.
Spinal Stabilization is a specialized class that will teach you guidelines and techniques to care for you back.
